Flussi Ravennati

Let’s start with an assumption: we want to navigate history. We want to be carried away by its waters, through centuries of practices that have crossed the Ravenna territories.
We want to do it through objects, sources, narratives capable of restoring the wealth that different flows – of materials, technologies, people and cultures – have made Ravenna the city it is today.

Rijeka Fluxes

For centuries, the port of Rijeka was a little, confined landing place for smaller galleys, sailing ships and local-service steamships. Since it was limited to some extent by Trieste and Pula, and even Mali Lošinj, as centres of maritime power, it could not be foreseen that from the second half of the 19th century it would become one of the largest ports in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and, in particular, the seat of many shipping companies that operated ocean-going ships.

Solin Fluxes

The history and development of the Salonitan port and city of Solin can be observed through four flows, i.e., fluxes. That is how we can perceive the impact and importance of this area, its origin and progress. The four basic concepts (fluxes/flows of goods, technology, people and culture) give a clear picture of the development of the Salonitan port, industry and today’s city of Solin.
